Should we drive our Bridal Party?

May 30, 2008

I was asked the other day by a friend getting married, so should we provide transportation for the bridal party to and from the wedding and reception. My reply, only if you want to!

Yes, it looks classy having the whole bridal party roll up to the church or venue all in one limo, followed closely behind by the men in another. But this is soley up to you…. and your budget!

If you can’t afford to shuffle everyone around using a service, don’t feel bad about asking them to drive separately. Maybe instead of bringing them to the church you could get two limos for the reception. Put you and your groom (or bride) in one, then in the other, the bridal party.

There are ways around it, but again don’t feel bad if its not in the budget. It won’t ruin your day!

If you do choose to take a limo service, check out our blog on what to ask the limo company before setting up your day.

Carry On Travel Kits

December 18, 2007

Have you been to the airport lately and had to have your makeup bag confiscated because you brought too many items on board? Well, I had that happen a few times and now I just don’t carry any of that in my purse. However, for those of you who feel completely lost without their little bag of cosmetic goodies and lotions and potions I found this website that may be beneficial to you.

It’s called 311 travel bag  or clearbagsystem.com and they sell fashionable carry on toiletry cases that meet all the carry-on regulations. The bottles are pretty in their sleek and sophisticated designs, zippered closure patent leather see-through bags, clear bottles with silver caps and the bottles are big enough to where you don’t have to purchase those trial size bottles that never seem to have the products we like.
